Our Story
German LLC was founded by Juan German on a simple idea: a yard is built from the ground up, and almost everything that goes wrong with one goes wrong below the surface where nobody looked. That is where "Built Right, Built to Last" comes from. The compass and the level in our logo are the two tools every job here is measured against — laid out right before we dig, and dead level when we leave.
We are based in Phoenix and we serve the whole Valley — Scottsdale, Mesa, Chandler, Tempe, Glendale, Peoria, Surprise, Goodyear, Avondale, Queen Creek, Cave Creek, Fountain Hills and Sun City. Our crews lay travertine and paver patios, driveways and walkways, install synthetic grass, build block and retaining walls, BBQ islands, fireplaces and fire pits, plant trees and desert landscaping, run drip irrigation and low-voltage lighting, and build pergolas and sheds.
We are licensed and insured. Estimates are free, on-site and written — itemized by excavation, base, material and labor, so you can see exactly what you are paying for. And because we do the whole yard rather than one trade, the ground only gets opened once, which is most of the reason it costs less than hiring five contractors in sequence.

Honesty
We tell you what a yard actually needs, and what it doesn't. If a cheaper material or a smaller scope is the right call for your space, that's the one we'll quote.
Workmanship
Full excavation, base compacted in lifts, real footings under block, sleeves under hardscape. The parts that get covered are the parts we're most careful about.
Respect
We protect what's staying, keep the site tidy while we work, and haul every scrap of spoil and packaging off the property before we leave.
Community
We live in the Valley. The yards we build are in our neighbors' back gardens, and our name is on every one of them.
